The content is a compilation made of two concerts performed by traffic Strings at the radio hall in Bucharest. New arrangements of some classical nature musical parts, very well known to the large audience, of which I mention Rhapsody I by George Enescu, selections from Vivaldi’s ‘Seasons’ or ‘Nessun Dorma’ from ‘Turandot’, Giacomo Puccini’s great opera, with pop musical reference points, like ‘Lonely Shepherd’ by James Last or a “mix’ made by Werner Thomas Mifune between the quartet of the Haydn’s quintets and famous themes of the South-American music, are presented. With this album I wanted to offer value to the technical and expressive possibilities our band has.

Once you have taken a pill of TRAFFIC STRINGS, your life will be much more beautiful. TRAFFIC STRINGS are like a drug that heals the souls of their listeners. Their music is fraught with joy, hope and love. The group first album resulted from a prolific collaboration which they had with the famous panpipes player Gheorghe Zamfir. This material contains a variant of the Vivaldi’s “Seasons”, orchestrated in a special way by Lucian Moraru, the founder of the group. The latter used the panpipes instead of the soloist violin, obtaining a real premiere in the field. The other two albums were presented to the public in 2009 and 2013 and these are TANGO FINESSE and Tango Aficionado which include some of the most seductive authentic tangos, performed with a new, innovative instrumental shape. It certainly comes as a surprise when the orchestration for the tango music supposes the use of the panpipe to which it is added the chords quintet, the accordion, piano and in certain musical fragments, the percussion rhythm instruments. If Tango Finesse makes us feel an exotic air totally apart from the sound universe we are used to when it comes to listening to Argentinian tango. In the album Tango Aficionado we can distinguish the passionate interpretation of the group as well as the conceptual approaching in the manner totally apart from the musical arrangement for the famous cycle “Seasons in Buenos Aires”, musical works which belong to the composer Astor Piazzolla. These two albums are framed in the category “unseen, fresh” or in premiere due to the special musical arrangements made by the violin player, Lucian Moraru, the founder of the group. The fourth album of the group called “Traffic Strings Live in Concert” creates addiction. The album contains famous musical pieces, but due to the new and unusual manner for the classic music interpretation, these “offer the listeners the feeling of freshness and the spectacular brightness of the fireworks”.
